TriTel payphones are manufactured in the USA and utilize the standard Western American case. The case is made of hardened steel with a stainless steel safe door. The coin safe requires two keys to access and is fitted with high quality locks. Handsets are manufactured from strong ABS plastic with a stainless steel cord cover and strain relief lanyard.

The TriTel payphone accepts the following forms of payment:

Coins - All Australian coins are accepted in the TriTel payphone. Many payphones don’t accept either the 5-cent coin or the $2 coin.
Credit Card - The TriTel standard payphone accepts credit card payment. This feature is not available from the incumbent's standard payphone.
TriTel Smart Phonecard - These are pre-paid cards that are inserted into the payphone and the call cost is deducted from the value contained in the Smart chip.
1800 Calls - Calls to 1800 Reverse, TriTel Service Difficulties and '000' emergency are free. There is a charge of 50cents per call when accessing any other1800 numbers dialed from a TriTel payphone.
